How You Can Join The Team...Collision Men's Derby (CMD) holds our main derby practice at Wheels Fun Park in Durham.
Sundays - 11:15am-1:00pm (Skills/Scrimmage, CMD led)($5)
The Carolina Rollergirls (CRG) lead our secondary derby practice at Wakefield Jellybeans in North Raleigh.
Thursdays - 8:30pm-10:30pm (Skills/Scrimmage, CRG led)($10per/$25month)
If you or anyone you know is interested in skating (or helping us out as part of the "shoe crew" in a non-skating position), drop us a line at Join@CollisionMensDerby.com, check us out on Facebook, or stop by a practice.
If it is your first time joining us, we ask you come to a Sunday practice, and please be sure to check our calendar to be sure the practice time has not changed. The rink does have skates, if you do not yet own a pair, but we ask that you bring a bicycle or skating helmet (eventually you will need a skating helmet), as we cannot let you on the floor without one (due to insurance purposes). You will also need other safety gear to start hitting drills if you decide to join the squad.
If you are interested in purchasing the full gear used in roller derby, Mother State Derby out of Richmond has a pretty good explanation of what you will need, on their website: http://www.motherstaterollerderby.com/gearguide.php

Events & Practice Schedule:
About getting back into skating:Many of our skaters have taken years off from skating (you'd be surprised how many of us stopped skating at 12, and started back up at 35). That's just fine, we welcome everyone. If you are a bit unsure and not quite ready to jump back on skates, come check us out anyway. You can skip skating the first day, or you can join the shoe crew as a non-skating member of the team. We always need people to help us run practices, officiate bouts, etc. For those of you who are already strong jam skaters or hockey skaters? We'd love to have you!
Think you live too far to join the team?We have skaters coming in from the following areas that you might be able to carpool with (drop us a line and we'll get you in-touch with skaters close to you):
